Statement by Omar Alghabra on the Mumbai train bombings

MISSISSAUGA - Omar Alghabra, Member of Parliament for Mississauga-Erindale, extends his condolences to the family and friends of all who were affected by the brutal bombings in Mumbai and stands firmly against all forms of terrorism.

Below please find a statement by the Honourable Bill Graham, Leader of the Opposition, on the bombings:

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, our Parliamentary caucus and all Canadians, I wish to extend my condolences and the sympathies of our nation to the people of Mumbai, India, who were struck by tragedy Tuesday evening.

The bombings to the city's commuter rail network were an unspeakable act of cowardice and terror, killing and wounding innocent civilians.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this terrible tragedy, and we stand together with the people of Mumbai in condemning the despicable actions of those who would use violence as a means to undermine our shared values of tolerance, fairness and freedom.”
